We were lucky enough to be introduced to Hazelwood Building Contractors when we were at the bleakest point of the full restoration of the Grade II listed property that has now become our beloved family home. As newcomers to renovation and the intricacies of dealing with a listed property and the Conservation Department at our local council, Terry worked closely with our architect to present an approvable plan which was sensitive to the house and our needs as a family. Once the work started, we had regular site meetings with Terry – his advice and problem-solving recommendations enabled us to make decisions quickly and keep the work on track. Their remit went from structural work – which no one can see and appreciate but has weatherproofed, insulated and heated our home – to beautiful joinery, which everyone compliments us on.
